Technical Writing Wrongs – Observations from the Field

Several years ago, a quality manager explained to me that nothing is worthless. He said, “Herb, even your biggest mistakes can serve as good, bad examples”. This white-paper will point out some of those common writing mistakes that serve as good, bad examples. It is my intent that calling out these errors will help you to recognize and avoid them in your writing, and/or help those writers you train or coach. I’ve categorized the common errors into five groups although these errors often travel together like a pack of wild dogs! We will be looking at them, and others, in more depth at our December 8th webinar. I just wish my sixth-grade English teacher could see me now!
